Data controller
Controller: William Isaías, Miami, Florida (United States).
For anything related to this policy, please write through the site’s contact form, choosing «Press and media» or describing your request. No email address is published here, to avoid automated harvesting.
Data collected
Only the data you provide voluntarily, and what the site strictly needs to work, is collected:
- Contact form: name, email address, company or project (optional), reason for contact and the content of your message.
- Newsletter: your email address only.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited and date of the visit, logged by the server and by the cookies described in the cookie policy.
- Audience measurement: if you accept measurement cookies, Google Analytics 4 anonymously records page views, device type and the approximate origin of the visit. Details and lifetimes in the cookie policy.
The site does not ask for health data, allergies, intolerances or payment details, and is not a suitable channel for sending them.
Purpose and legal basis
Data is used to:
- reply to enquiries, collaboration proposals and press requests received through the form, on the basis of the legitimate interest in answering whoever writes and of steps prior to a possible professional relationship;
- send the newsletter with new content and recommendations, on the basis of the consent given when subscribing, which can be withdrawn at any time;
- keep the site secure and understand how it is used, on the basis of legitimate interest and, for non-essential cookies, of consent.
Data from the form is never used to send unsolicited commercial messages.
Retention
Messages sent through the form are kept for as long as the conversation lasts and afterwards for the time needed to handle any liability arising from it. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe, which is possible in every email. Technical logs are kept for short periods, according to the hosting provider’s settings.
Recipients
Personal data is neither sold nor shared with third parties. It is accessed only by the providers needed to run the service, and only to that extent:
- the site’s hosting provider;
- the email provider used to receive and answer messages;
- [NEWSLETTER PLATFORM], if the newsletter is sent through an external service.
- Google LLC, as the provider of Google Analytics 4, only if you have accepted measurement cookies;
Data may also be disclosed where required by law or by a competent authority.
International transfers
The site is run from the United States and some providers process data outside the European Economic Area. When a visitor writes from the European Union, those transfers rely on the safeguards set out in the General Data Protection Regulation, normally the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses included in the agreements with those providers.
Your rights
You can request access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of or objection to processing and portability, and you can withdraw any consent given. Just write through the contact form stating which right you wish to exercise; you will receive an answer as soon as possible and in any case within one month.
If you live in the European Union and believe the processing does not comply with the rules, you may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. If you live in California, you may exercise the rights granted by state consumer privacy law, without receiving any discriminatory treatment for doing so.
Minors
The site is aimed at an adult audience and is not intended for children under 13, whose data is not knowingly collected. If you become aware that a child has provided personal data, please write through the form so it can be deleted.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and reasonable measures are in place to protect the information received. No system is infallible: absolute security cannot be guaranteed online.
Links and external content
The site links to William Isaías’s profiles on Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok and YouTube, and may link to restaurant or media websites. Those platforms have their own privacy policies and are outside this site’s control.
Governing law and changes
This policy is governed by the law of the State of Florida (United States) and any dispute will be submitted to the courts of Miami-Dade County, without prejudice to the rights granted to European Union visitors by data protection law.
The policy may be updated to reflect changes to the site or to the applicable rules: the date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
